The Southern New Hampshire Ukulele Group (SNHUG) was founded five years ago for the purpose of providing a forum for area ukesters while serving our community.
What better way to do that than to host a summer picnic in beautiful downtown Dover, NH?! There will be performances all day at the Rotary Arts Pavilion and all are welcome to attend. Performances by local artists and even a band from Nashville will come together and donate their time and talents for a worthy cause. This is a free public event – our thanks to the community we serve.
We will attempt to break the unofficial New Hampshire strumming record, so all are encouraged to bring their ukes and hop on stage with us!
To date, SNHUG has raised over $17,000 to benefit the Ukulele Kids Club, a 501c3 organization dedicated to helping hospitalized children through music therapy. Thanks to the UKC, SNHUG has helped sick children at Wentworth Douglass Hospital, Elliot Hospital, DHMC, Boston Children’s and many others locally and nationwide. Through music therapy and “gifts for life” — children bring their own ukuleles home with them from the hospital.
SNHUG thanks the local community for their support in this endeavor.
With your help, we can make a difference “one strum at a time.”
Note: Every penny raised via sponsorships will go directly to the UKC.
