The Sandpipers Seacoast Children’s Chorus 2016 Holiday Concerts

The Sandpipers Seacoast Children’s Chorus will harken its 24th-season of popular holiday Winter Concerts on Saturday, December 3, and Sunday, December 4, 2016, featuring winter and holiday-themed fine choral music. The premiere auditioned boys’ and girls’ treble chorus for seacoast singers ages 7-14, is led by Artistic Director Priscilla French and accompanied by pianist Rebecca Austin. The Sandpipers will perform a “Winter Wonderland Medley,” an Israeli folksong, works of Benjamin Britten, Dimitri Kabalevsky, Stephen Paulus, Alan Bullard and a song from a Disney movie, among other carols of the season. Performing at annual Winter and Spring Concerts and community events since 1993, the Sandpipers Seacoast Children’s Chorus continues its tradition of offering high-quality, affordable performances that showcase the dedication and talent of its young singers.

The Winter Concert will be held on Saturday evening, December 3, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. at Stratham Community Church in Stratham, N.H., and Sunday afternoon, December 4, 2016, at 3 p.m. at the Middle Street Baptist Church in Portsmouth, N.H. Suggested donations at the door of $10/general and $5/students and seniors are welcome.

Founded in 1993, the program introduces children to the finest choral music, and is widely recognized in the seacoast area for the quality of its performances and the unique educational opportunity it provides.
