The popular Outdoor Cinema at Swasey is set for three nights of free movies under the stars in Swasey Parkway. The movie nights are hosted by HERON (Historic Exeter Retail Owners Network) and have been scheduled for August 7, 14, and 21, all Thursday nights, at dusk. The movies will be shown on an inflatable two-story movie screen. Families are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and enjoy the movie under the stars. All are welcome, reservations are not necessary.
Come early to find a great spot and enjoy a picnic dinner, offered by the Exeter Area Kiwanis Club, who will be grilling up hot dogs and other tasty treats starting around 6:00pm. Several of the downtown merchants will be on hand with popcorn, snacks, and drinks. Kids’ activities and crafts are planned each of the three nights, free of charge.
The movies are generously brought to you by Front Row Pizzeria (August 7), Gary Blake Motorcars and Signet Computing (August 14) and Karate International (August 21).
Other sponsors include ecm design, puddlejumpers children’s shop, Tranquility Salon and Skin Care, Water Street Bookstore, The Green Bean, George & Phillips, cymbidium floral, A Picture’s Worth a Thousand Words, Whirlygigs Toy Store, La Cave a Vin, Two Flights Down, D2 Java, the Chocolatier, and Arjay’s Ace Hardware.
Swasey Parkway will be closed to traffic Thursday night from 1:00PM – 10:00PM for both the Farmers’ Markets and the movies. Details about any weather cancellations will be posted on www.visitexeternh.com, and the visitexeternh facebook and twitter pages. Don’t forget your bug spray!
