Lite Up the Nite is a local run/walk organized to help provide an improved quality of life for those who are challenged with mental illness. Race proceeds benefit community mental health outreach; awareness; and care for those who would otherwise go without.
Mental health is usually discussed “in the dark,” or rather, in private spaces, but we at The Mental Health Center advocate for open discussions about mental health. We seek to eliminate the silence surrounding mental illness. To stand with us against stigma, we ask race participants to wear neon colors to demonstrate their support for bringing discussions about mental illness and mental health issues out of the darkness and into the light.
Mental illness is a disease that affects one in four families today. As the largest outpatient provider of mental health services in New Hampshire, The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester provides charity care to many individuals and families who would otherwise go untreated.
4:30 pm Registration and pre-registration check-in tables open.
6:00 pm Prizes are awarded to the most spirited neon-themed team.
