The Meredith Fine Craft Gallery is hosting a special 4-part lecture series: The Art of Photography Retold.
This series is intended as an educational opportunity to enhance your knowledge of traditional photography, and to meet a diverse group of photographers who use the wet darkroom in their unique ways.
Make plans to join us for a journey into the art behind photography – from the camera used to getting into “the zone”.
The fourth lecture takes place on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 6:30 – 7:30 PM and will feature career photographer, Bonnie Edwards who has owned a public relations and product studio in New York, and has been specializing in family portraits at her studio in New Hampshire for the last 20 years. Bonnie will discuss her background as a photographer and why she still uses a darkroom. She will explain the process of creating photos in the studio and applying the old fashion technique of hand coloring to her prints. You will be informed about the photographer’s choice for visual meaning and about the value of prints and how to tell a good one from a bad one. There will be framed prints on display.
All lectures in the series are free and open to the public, and will be held at the Meredith Community Center, 1 Circle Drive in Meredith, NH 03253.
To inquire about the lectures, call us at (603) 279-7920 or stop into the gallery at 279 Daniel Webster Highway, Meredith, NH.
