Manchester Acupuncture Studio would like to invite you to our Nashua clinic on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 4-7PM for a fundraiser to benefit the Humane Society for Greater Nashua. In lieu of the usual sliding-scale payment for treatments that evening, we are asking for a voluntary donation, 100% of which will be given directly to HSFN. We will also be accepting donations of wishlist items that evening, as seen on the Humane Society website. April Shewan, L.Ac, will be providing treatments that evening. Jena Marie DiPinto will be coordinating the schedule and answering questions about community acupuncture. Appointments are not necessary for this event and an abbreviated intake process will be used so that we can treat everyone who attends.
The mission of Manchester Acupuncture Studio is to be a vital part of the communities in which we have our clinics. We seek to reach out to other organizations that enrich the lives of people in Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. Choosing the Humane Society for Greater Nashua was an easy decision, as everyone at MAS is an animal lover and most of us have cats and dogs of our own. April’s dog, Ginger, was adopted in May 2015 from HSFN, and quickly settled into the Shewan household as a source of joy, amusement, and companionship. Jena’s dog, Maia, is a certified therapy animal and visits the Nashua clinic on Tuesday evenings to greet and cuddle with patients before or after their treatments. We cherish the role that our companion animals play in our lives and want to do what we can to make sure the wonderful people and animals at HSFN have the resources they need.
Community acupuncture allows us to treat more people, in a comfortable setting where families and friends can sit together, relax together, and stay for as long or as short of a treatment as they need. Healing in groups gives a sense of infectious relaxation! We are able to accommodate up to 18 patients at one time in our cozy armchairs.
Manchester Acupuncture Studio provides low-cost acupuncture to the community as a group practice, through a co-operative, grassroots, financially self-sustaining non-profit model. Our goal is to offer affordable, accessible acupuncture to the Manchester, Nashua, and Merrimack Valley area. MAS has over 60 years combined clinical experience.
