Tupelo Music Hall presents “The Legends Live On!” with a variety of music: Southern Rock by Michael Allman, Classical timeless Pop music by Sheila Raye Charles, Blues by Claudette King and Texas Blues/Rock by Jeff Pitchell.
This dynamic show features music tied together by the bloodlines of legends. Michael Allman, eldest son of Rock Hall of Famer, Gregg Allman, whose distinctly original songwriting and playing style mixes rock, roots, and the blues; Sheila Raye Charles, daughter of Ray Charles (voted 2ndbest singer of all-time), who delivers spine tingling renditions of her father’s best-known songs such as “Hit the road Jack!; Claudette King, youngest daughter of iconic Blues Master, B.B. King, who was trained in Gospel music at age 13 and mentored by such greats as Aretha Franklin and Etta James. Rounding out this phenomenal quartet is Jeff Pitchell, voted “Best Blues Musician” in New England, whose soulful sound and songwriting have won national and international awards with his band Texas Flood.
These four multi-talented artists promise to provide an evening of entertainment as they play a variety of original music and cover songs for listening, dancing, or sing-along. With Allman, Charles, King and Pitchell on lead vocals and Jeff’s guitar with his band Texas Flood, this show promises to be an unforgettable experience, as described by crowds at previous sold-out venues.
